Wrongful Termination?

Out of the blue, my husband was so called layed off from his job on 6/21. On tuesday, we receive a letter from his employer of when his benefits will end. This letter also states that he was layed off or a RIF action is taken due to his postion is eliminated. I am still lost on this action because his work hours for the a few months now have been between 8-12 hours a day and working weekends. We were told by a former coworker that his previous employer is trying to fill the postion with a temp. Could this be a legimate suit against the employer? His former boss could not gave a reason what so ever for the lay off.

Why are my parents so STUPID with their situations?!?

Personally you might have a chance with all of them, but you never know what they are all looking for. All of the jobs I have had have been retail so I have a lot of retail experience, and I have also worked at Victoria's Secret. When there were times I needed and I applied to a lot of retail store, some which are on your list I didn't even get calls back from a lot of them so its not always about retail experience. I think that with VS you would have a good chance. I had a group interview with them and many of the girls didn't have any retail experience but as long as they had a wide enough schedule to be available they were hired. Express I didn't work there but had a interview with them and I think that they are pretty hard to get a job with. I know they base a lot of their choices on clothing since they are a high fashion store and probably on your experience. I have been applying at Express for the longest and just recently got an interview but didn't get the job so that one may be tough. Forever 21 I believe you could get a job at as long as you have a good working background. Just recently a 2 story Forever 21 opened up where I attend school at and they had open interviews on my campus and literally hired EVERYONE I even got the job but just didn't make the orientation. So that one may be really easy. As far as the other ones I don't know, but I do hope I helped in some way!

Serious Talk; Why do we only see Illegal Mexicans picking up our fruits and Vegeteables?

We would do these jobs we would just have to get paid a fair wage to do it. Its likely though it would just be the legit Mexicans who would then be able to get the job. Illegal Immigration Jumping The Border?

I know this has been a touchy subject. Some people think the Mexican people should be deported if they jump the border illegally. While some argue that they are taking the jobs that we don't want and coming for a better life. I'm not really upset with it, but there are things that irritate me. When my grandparents immigrated to the U.S. from Germany. One of the things he had to do (and most naturalized citizens still have to do) is learn to read, write and speak english. My grandfather's neighbor came over asking for coffee in German and my Grandfather told him you can't ask for coffee at a coffee shop in German you'll get discriminated. If the Germans, French, Spanish, Japanese, Italian, and other countries had to learn the english language why can't they? Our country is known for the english language (the universal language as some people call it) when statistics show it might turn in to mexican/spanish. This bothers me because if I had come here from a European country and had learned the english language then come to find that I have to learn mexican/spanish because we want to make them comfortable. (ie. Having all the signs be in Spanish and English). I don't have problems with naturalized/legal mexicans (or any person from another country who is legal), but the illegal ones seem to take advantage of our health care. Some (not all) have children in the U.S (making them American citizens) and that allows the parents to stay in America because their newborn baby is legal and they need to care for it. The PROBLEM IS: when you wear it on your body, the 1/3 half of the garment filps down forming a free-style collar around the neck. Which I tend to gather around and drip it down at the front. I don't know what jacket to pair with it regardless of the colour, and I don't know what to do with the collar when I wear the piece alone. What should i do for my lonesome parakeet?

So basically I had two female parakeets, a blue one and a green one, about 3-4 years old, both bought from a shop once they had already developed but were still fairly young. This of course means they had distinct personality traits that existed before we got them. The blue one is a funny bird, always playing with toys in its cage and trying to get in your hair. She will gladly perch on your finger if shes in the mood to play and seems to enjoy nibbling everything nonstop, from her cage walls to your fingers. On the other hand, the green bird is and always has been incredibly nervous. Just passing by the cage gets her ready to run. Sometimes you can get her onto your finger but that just makes her stare at the cage, looking for a good opportunity to get back to it. She never bites, i have never seen her play with any toys, and she doesn't care for mirrors. The two birds got along alright. Not great, but the blue bird is all that the green bird had as a companion. I'm worried because the blue bird managed to escape recently which baffles me because we've left the patio door wide open without either bird going near. (she was probably trying to land on my shoulder while i happened to be walking out the door). Not only do i really miss my bird, but i think the green one misses her too. She chirps more than she ever has and theres nothing to respond back. What should i do? I would like to play with her but shes much too nervous, definitely not suited for the wild, and placing a new, younger parakeet in the cage doesn't seem right.

Ipad 2, Laptop? Ahhh!?

So I have a deliema. I am going into college in the fall 2011 and I was planning on getting a laptop via my money I got from relatives and help from my parents as my grad present. But lately I have really been looking into geting an ipad, this is because they are sweet and I was planning on getting a new ipod touch before college but I know someone with an ipad and I think it could come in hady a lot more than a new ipod (but a lot more $$$), i would use it both for books and another way to take notes in class and record lectures and even just play some games... Lately I find myself not being able to get out of bed, I stay in bed all day and just cry 90% of the time I dont know why I'm crying. I need an outside opinion. My boyfriend of six years was gone for four months for air force basic training and also Tech school. He got back about a week ago; when he first got home he wanted to spend time with his family, so I really didn’t get to see him. After a couple days of being back his brother who was in Afghanistan for six months is back on leave. So I really only got to spend like one night with him since he’s gotten back. But now he only wants to spend all of his time with his brother. I don’t mind, but all his brother wants to do it go out and get crazy. My boyfriend was doing that all along in tech school and now his brother bought him a suit to go out and go to like clubs or something idk he won’t tell me why..
